CULTURE & EXPRESSION
Mr. Pradip Acharjee is a promising cultural development activist, with special expertise in creative communication for inclusive education to various forms of cultural expressions, i.e. theatre, puppetry and mime. He started his professional career in 1994 and has contributed to numerous cultural events through his role as director and/or key performer. Mr. Acharjee studied Sociology (Masters) at the Asian University of Bangladesh; and Law (Bachelor) and Commerce (Bachelor) at the National University of Bangladesh. He also successfully accomplished various relevant courses in the field of culture & expression, including the CrossCulture Internship Program on Art and Culture under the federal Government of Baden Wurttemberg, Germany and theatre appreciation course from FAME (School of Dance, Drama & Music), Chittagong Bangladesh. Wide-ranging works of Mr. Acharjee as a professional in relevant fields has been undertaken for a number of reputed entities including the Ministry of Women & Children Affairs of Bangladesh, USAID, The Royal Danish Embassy, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNDP, IOM, Winrock International, Oxfam, Save the Children International, Action Aid Bangladesh, etc. and BRAC. Apart from his affiliation with Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts, as the Coordinator, Program Development, he is also affiliated with several cultural organizations/networks, including Transforming Community Inclusion (Asia based Advocacy networking platform of Psychosocial Disability), Cross Culture Program Alumni network in Germany and UdichiShilpiGosthi, Chittagong District, Bangladesh.
