Transformative Yoga Therapy Session for Thyroid & PCOS at BSMMU: A Collaborative Effort by Harmony, BMSS, and the Bangladesh Endocrine Society

March 7, 2024

In a significant collaborative endeavor, Team Harmony, in partnership with the Bangladesh Medical Students’ Society (BMSS) and the Bangladesh Endocrine Society, successfully conducted a pivotal yoga therapy session on 7th March 2024. The focus of this session was on the holistic management of thyroid disorders and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), diseases that impact a significant portion of the population.

This empowering session took place at the prestigious Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), located in the heart of Shahbag, Dhaka. It was a unique opportunity for medical students and health professionals alike to immerse themselves in the practice of yoga, gaining insight into its vital role in holistic health care.

Leading the session was Syeda Shahida Sultana Elora, a distinguished Yoga Teacher and the head of Harmony’s Health Care Program. With her extensive expertise, participants were guided through a series of rejuvenating yoga practices, designed to promote overall well-being and address specific health concerns related to thyroid disorders and PCOS.

This session was not just about yoga; it was a celebration of International Women’s Day, underlining our unwavering commitment to enhancing women’s health and well-being. It served as a reminder of the critical role holistic practices play in our lives, especially in the context of women’s health issues.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in this transformative session, as well as to our esteemed partners for their support and collaboration. It is through such united efforts that we can advance towards a healthier, more holistic future.
