In a remarkable collaboration, Harmony Trust and Save the Children in Bangladesh (SCiBD) have successfully conducted a transformative workshop focusing on Yoga for Mental Health of Adolescents. The event, hosted by SCiBD’s strategic partner Manabik Shahajiya Sangstha (MSS), took place on June 9th at the “Fulkurir Ashor Resource Centre”, Rayerbazar, Dhaka. This initiative was part of Harmony’s month-long celebration of the International Day of Yoga (IDY), 2024.
A group of vulnerable adolescent girls, aged 13 to 18, from the adjacent slums participated in the workshop. These girls are participants of the ‘Sponsorship Program’, a flagship initiative of SCiBD. Team Harmony facilitated the session, introducing the girls to the incredible benefits of yoga, particularly in addressing their emotional and cognitive challenges.
The success of the event was evident in the enthusiasm and interest expressed by the participants during the feedback session. The same spirit was echoed by the officials of SCiBD and MSS, who played a crucial role in organizing and managing this memorable event. Together, we are committed to fostering mental well-being and resilience in vulnerable adolescents. 🌿✨
