HARMONY participated in the special partners’ meeting of the Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh, held at the BRAC Centre in Dhaka today. This strategic event aimed to unify Civil Society’s input for the upcoming national budget. Harmony advocated for not only a greater allocation towards the health sector but also emphasized the necessity of upgrading infrastructure and educational resources for Alternative Medical Care. Our stance on amplifying investment in preventive and palliative care was clear.
We also proposed specific initiatives to foster community-based geriatric care, empower marginalized youth through holistic health practices, and incorporate traditional therapies like Yoga and Reflexology in public healthcare systems. These steps are crucial for addressing current healthcare challenges and ensuring the well-being of our communities.
