Harmony conducted the independent action research from March to July 2023, exploring the potential of Traditional Complementary and Integrative Healthcare (TCIH) methods, particularly Reflexology and Yoga, as community-based healthcare approaches for adolescent girls in Dhaka slums. A five-member Harmony team engaged 29 girls as participants aged 13-18 using a multi-method approach, including in-depth interviews, case record reviews, and expert observation. Ten girls were designated as ‘Change Makers,’ receiving 24 training sessions to practice self-care techniques and support peers in improving healthcare outcomes under supervision.
