Harmony Trust, in collaboration with FIVDB, conducted a transformative “Training of Facilitators: Self-Examination and Holistic Approach Countering Breast Cancer” on February 16, 2025, at the Central Training Centre, FIVDB, Khadimnagar, Sylhet.
This initiative, part of Harmony Trust’s ‘Embracing Holistic Measures Countering Breast Cancer’ program in commemoration of World Cancer Day 2025, aimed to empower frontline workers with critical knowledge on breast cancer rist mitigation, early detection, and holistic interventions.
A total of 27 female field staff from 9 branches of Sylhet and Sunamganj Districts under FIVDB’s Integrated Financial Support Programme (IFSP) participated in this impactful session. Under the guidance of Syeda Shahida Sultana Elora, Coordinator, Healthcare Program at Harmony Trust, the training focused on:

✅ Understanding physiological & psychological risk factors
✅ Mastering Breast Self-Examination (BSE) techniques for early detection
✅ Navigating the clinical management pathway of breast cancer
✅ Leveraging holistic approaches like yoga & lifestyle modifications to mitigate critical risk factors like stress and hormonal imbalance
