‘A comprehensive healthcare is the only way to control cancer’, said the speakers in the virtual dialogue held on 4th February 2022. Soul emphasis on the conventional treatment of cancer would not allow the health system to address the issue. It also requires increased attention on promotive, preventive, and palliative care on one hand, and integration of WHO-recognized TCAM techniques into healthcare, on the other – the speakers added.

Some of the eminent health professionals in the country join the dialogue. Prof. Dr. Subhagata Choudhury; Prof. Dr. Sabera Khatun, Head of Gynae Oncology, BSMMU; Prof. Dr. Habibullah Talukder, Head of Cancer Epidemiology, National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital; and Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Associate Professor, Child Adolescent & Family Psychiatry at National Institute of Mental Health were among the speakers.

Dr. Mohammad Abdus Sabur, an eminent Public Health Expert and Chairperson of Harmony presided over the event. Syeda Shahida Sultana, a complementary Health Professional and the Coordinator of the Health Care Program of Harmony was the moderator of the dialogue.
