Harmony Trust and Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) have joined forces to improve public health through research, publications, training, sensitization, and collaborations. Under the Strategic Partnership, NUB will act as an academic partner and collaborate on joint research projects with Harmony Trust. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both parties and is expected to yield positive results for public health in Bangladesh.
The MoU was signed on 17th April 2023, at NUB campus, Uttara, Dhaka. Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor of NUB, and Mr. Amitabha Bhattacharjee, Chief Executive Officer of Harmony Trust, signed the MOU on behalf of the respective parties. The agreement was witnessed by Prof. Dr. (Lt Col) Sarder Mahmud Hossain, Head, Dept. of Public Health, NUB, and Syeda Shahida Sultana Elora, Coordinator, Health Care Program, Harmony Trust. Prof. Nazrul Islam, PhD, Pro-Vice Chancellor, NUB; Ms. Bilkis Banu, Associate Professor, Dept. of Public Health NUB; Dr. Nasrin Akter, Lecturer, Dept. of Public Health, NUB; and Dr. Sujana Haque Chowdhury, Lecturer, Dept. of Public Health, NUB took part at the signing ceremony.
