The study portrayed a landscape of the Bangladeshi NGOs engaged in emergency response, with particular attention to the dimensions, trends, and challenges associated with their organizational capacity. It covered 396 interested local and national NGOs from all eight (8) divisions of the country. Action Against Hunger Bangladesh commissioned the study for Start Fund Bangladesh. Team Harmony conducted the study between August to October 2019. Using Desk Research and KIIs, the study depicted a general feature of the NGOs and their capacities, and analyzed the correlation between organizational capacity and relevant factors associated with financial strength, human resources, organizational characteristics, and reach of the NGOs. It also recommended ways to address the capacity gaps of the NGOs.
